About This Site
Do you use Microsoft Office at work?
Have you discovered Microsoft OneNote?
Microsoft OneNote is a note taking software created by Microsoft that can do SO MANY THINGS. Which can be great...or overwhelming...
On this site, I show you how to use OneNote in the way you want to. Whether you are a teacher, a business person, an entrepreneur, or student. Whether you want to use OneNote to manage your work projects, your personal projects, task management, take notes or collaborate with others.
Through the use of how-to and use study examples, this site will help you use OneNote in every way you want, as well as show you ways you never even thought you could use OneNote.
I do this in the form of the free blog, with regular posts mixing between how-to and use study posts. Also, I have a guide available for purchase that will narrow down all the noise about using OneNote and guide you from beginning to expert, covering all the features and tools, with plenty of tips and tricks along the way.
In no way am I an employee of Microsoft and I speak from sincerely enjoying the software and wanting others to enjoy it as well.
While most of the writing is focused on using OneNote, because OneNote is such an integrated part with my everyday life, some other topics will be explored, such as productivity, planning, and life. Don't be surprised if plenty of stories get shared along the way.
It would be an honor if you subscribe to the newsletter so I can give you additional information I don't share on the blog as well as updates when new posts come out.
Me and OneNote
Since 2013 I have been using OneNote to brain dump all my thoughts, cares, dreams, and "I better not forget this" stuff. Through my experiences, I think I have a little something to share with you. And I have definitely been learning things from the community of OneNote fans. Thanks to anyone that has shared tips and tricks.
My Beginning with OneNote
I first started using OneNote while at work. My day job is as an analyst at a commercial real estate appraising company. This work requires extensive research, analysis, and report writing.
Like many of you, I use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel heavily in my work. But I needed something to help me keep my research organized, and the physical binders other employees use wasn't really doing it for me. I mean, I'm the guy that started a recycling program in the dorm at college, I couldn't just print a bunch of paper without a little piece of me dying.
Thankfully, one day in the office I saw a coworker using what I would later find out as being OneNote. I asked him about it and have since been blown away by how awesome it is and how familiar it is to the other Office products.
Fast forward to today, and I want to teach and inspire others in their use of OneNote to help you reach your professional and personal goals.
I was born and raised in Southern California and currently live in Santa Monica, California. My wife and I were married in 2010 with no kids or pets yet. My time spent outside of my day job and this website is with family, friends, an off and on routine of running, reading a book a month, and fishing whenever possible.
